Charity Miles is an app that allows athletes to support their favorite charity while they walk, run or bike. Charity Miles uses the GPS on your phone and donates money based on how many miles you accumulate.
Once you down load the app and create your account you get to select what charity you want to donate your miles to. They offer a long list of charities and you can change charities at any time.
After selecting a charity you select your event. The events you can choose from are outdoor walk, indoor walk, outdoor run, indoor run or outdoor bike.
Charity Miles then tracks the distance using the GPS on your phone. The app also shows you the daily sponsor, the company who is donating for your miles.
Once you complete your workout you press the Finished button. Charity Miles then allows you to share your miles on social media. This is a great way to encourage others to get the app and donate to these amazing charities.
I would encourage anyone who is a Walker, runner or cyclists to use Charity Miles. It's an amazing way to support your favorite charity. The app is extremely easy to use, requiring the user to only press a few buttons at the beginning and end of their workout. The best part is that it takes something you were going to do anyways, exercise, and turns it into a donation to a good cause.
